Thanks for the response. During the summer months I often see the CPU
running at 65+ degrees C when room temp top 90-95 degrees F for several
hours.

There's the root issue...computers are not intended to be operated in an ambient environment this hot. It is a wonder you don't have chronic hard drive failure with ambients this high!

I keep my thermostat at 70F...and my Athlon 64 at 2.61GHz runs at 30C idle, 45C full load, CnQ enabled.
