Thanks for the tip. This tip will help many OEM's etc. cut back on the number of bare bones units they build up and other procedures that set up the scenario for having to change a CPU.

With the pins on the CPU I still avoided as many CPU changes as possible. Most of my CPU changes were caused by changing motherboards, to using the pins more than once is a mute issue in these changes.

If the life of the pins is 3 CPU installations, I will be ok. Over 90% of my units never experience one CPU change unless I am installing a new motherboard.

It seems you agree that Intel really pulled a slick trick this time.
