I use hibernation a bit, but I find it's almost as flaky is standby, as about 10% of the time, the computer won't come out of it, and if you depend on it, you end up losing your place in work being done, or worse, data.

BTW, I figured out the standby issue. New video drivers fixed it. (How the heck video drivers can affect standby is beyond me, but I'm obviously not up to the level of Microsoft's master programmers.)
