I know I still love using my ultra lite Dell L400 laptop even after 5yrs. The weight makes it feel like a notebook that I might have carried in school as opposed to the feel of carrying an anchor like carrying one of the newer wide screen 15" one does but that's just me & ymmv. If one wants a desktop replacement that's great too just don't ask me to lug it around for you. ;-)
Agreed. My 15" Inspiron 8200 is heavy. Most of the time it's either on my lap or sitting on the coffee table. It doesn't get carried around much. Did take it on a vacation trip a few times, but it feels like a boat anchor after carrying it a while.
