I never thought I'd buy a black case, but I picked up this monster a few weeks back:

Damn. I love it. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put 12 internal 3.5" HD bays in a workstation case should get a raise.

After I bought it, I realized something. I never minded my beige box at all, and thought that those people rushing to buy black gear were nuts. But then I stood back and took a look at my setup...
Black aluminum case
Black keyboard (the new MS Natural 4000)
Black mouse (MX1000)
Black monitors (2405fpw + 2005fpw)
Black speakers (Z-560)

Without even realizing it or intending to, all of my stuff (save printers and UPS) is now black. All I could do was chuckle.

Greg

Yep. I'd use black cases. Outside of the fact they look "cool" the bigger
reason is this: black cases tend to hide scratches and minor blemishes
better then beige cases.

I can't use this as it comes with a free NEC floppy drive & I only use
Mitsumi drives. <lol>

ASI ran out of beige Mitsumi's so I ordered a case of Sony's a couple of
weeks ago. Now yall are going to tell me I should start using black cases!
