some of these cards have a extra power connector and some do not, WTF. I
would be inclined to not get the one without for fear the agp slot could
not keep up.
is this logic sound ?
actually leaning toward the gt and they all seem to have the power header
Q4 really does not play that bad on my 5900 but graphics are not as nice
as they could be. Played on a friends a64 with a 6600 and even though the
game wants to play on low quality 640x480 it seems OK on medium and 1280x1024.

IINM, the AGP versions should all have power connectors as non-AGP Pro
slots can't supply enough power
(PCI-E slots can supply up to 72W).
My Chaintech 6600GT (admittedly PCI-E) works dandy just pulling power from
the slot.
As far as Quake 4 goes, I've noticed that the fps gets a little poky (just
enough to make moving the view
around not smooth). Thankfully, doesn't happen all that often. Running the
6600GT stock on a A64 3700+
ClawHammer (@ 2.6GHz) with the graphics set to 1024x768 high-quality, no-AA.
