So printing a story that will only incite more hatred towards the Saudi

This may come as a shock to you Hayes but you know, it really really helps to know what you are talking about.  Again though, you probably can't understand that.

The muttawa (aka "the Religious police") are a self-elected goon squad of fundamentalists who surveil the Saudi Arabian Kingdom's inhabitants, particularly its expatriates. The purpose of their scrutiny is to ensure conformity to their own warped, narrow-minded interpretation of Islam. Their scrutiny is often asinine and almost always absurd.

The Saudi goverment has been trying to change it's own image, and this has included distancing itself from the muttawa.  The Saudi Daily story had one purpose: decrease support for, and the credibility of, the muttawa.

It is all too little too late, the family Saud threw its support - and oil dollars - behind the wrong horse.  The extremists known as Salafis (often call 'wahabis' here); and now, decades later, they are backpedaling to no avail.

Yes, because Bush and his whole circle are a walking blow-job for the Saudi
Royal family. Wouldn't want to bite the hand that feeds that black gold.

On this much we agree.

Still, there are still media that Bushco can't rein in. Where's the story?

You seem to refuse to accept from any source any account of barbarity from
an Islamic government.

You don't seem to understand there ARE NO Islamic governments today.

As a Muslim I know what the phrase 'Islamic government' means and instead I see corrupted politicians there just as much we see them here.

As a born American I know what kind of government our founding fathers had in mind for the US, instead we have the Kafka-esque caracature that oozes in DC today.  Kafka-esque, Orwellian, or Lovecraftian? Hard to tell.

Whenever man thinks he can build a huge governing institution all hell breaks loose.
