not really, although I will use it with a all in wonder to watch analog TV.
I just want to make sure it will support HD if I want to output HD from a
cable box later on. And I want to make sure it will support all the latest
"standards" so I don't drop 8 bills only to discover that it is dated this
time next year. Although who knows what next month will bring, let alone
next year.
If you're just feeding it from a computer, then it doesn't matter so
long as it supports HDCP--which it does. You'll be able to watch
HD-DVD/Blu-Ray HD content in Vista on it.
I know the media companies are making proprietary HD formats that won't
work with current monitors, but in general, will any computer monitor
handle HD from a cable box? I have a ATI AIW X800.... it does handle HD. I
am running it thought a couple of high end CRTs = Mitsubishi 2040u. They
don't support any kind of HD right?
Outside of a laptop I haven't used a LCD. I am a long time multi monitor
user. Will I run into any problem if I run the LCD Dell as the primary
monitor and one of my CRT 2040u as the secondary monitor? Can I mix them
like this?
So you think that the 2407WFP is a good value?

you the 2407 as well as a 2.8GHz dual core/1GB/250GB XPS400 for around
$1k. Might be able to sell the machine and get a better deal on the
monitor, or keep the box as a decent secondary.
