He could also drop off the AA and AF and get a performance boost there.
Running 1920x1600, AA at least shouldn't be required for a good clean
image. Given that, I think the X800 would run HL2 decently. Not ideal,
but very playable.

BTW Greg I recently discovered this multi monitor utility that while
pricey, works really great. It puts <independent> taskbars on each
monitor. This makes multi monitors work so much better, and keeps the main
taskbar uncluttered. I don't know how I got along with it. Ultramon
