Pretty much. And if I'm hiring a person to do spreadsheets and he can't learn a new syntax for formulas I'm dumping him for someone who can. The IT field is about learning how to learn, not learning how to do. If you can't keep moving you might as well move one.
Now there is some stuff I haven't been able to do in OO. I haven't figured out web queries, for instance, but I'm guessing that 95% of users never use web queries. I do have a client (an accountant who's a pretty hard core spreadsheet user) who says that OO Calc is easier and slicker than Excel.
