Apparently you kept your head down & pray that you continue to do so.
One day in Louisville, KY we heard a large explosion across the street
while we were still in bed. The wife wanted to look out the window but
her husband tackled her to the floor. Come to find out they we're
building a new road & had to dispose of some granite. I sure wish they
could've let the neighbors know before hand & why at 8am is beyond me.
Seems to me they could've waited til noon. There have been times when
I dove under tables because the TV went out & it sounded like
helicopters but that's the life of many a war torn vet. I got a card
from 3m a couple of weeks ago thanking me for my military service &
the sad thing is it was the 1st thank you for being a Vet that I had
ever gotten in 35 yrs. Now I'm 2½ weeks past my 3rd heart attack &
doing better but it's events like these that make us appreciate the
things & time that we have.
I hope you're doing okay, Wayne. Life can be scary at times.
