OK, I have had one really nice week of high-speed browsing.
Now, it seems to be totally dead. I am back to my dial-up connection.
The last thing I did was let Adobe update my reader to v7.0.9.
I have already deleted the reader and rebooted the machine.
None of my machines can browse. All can see each other, so the
switches and LAN seem to work.
Is there anything I have missed on the clients? I gave away my copy
of "DSL for Dummies" years ago.
I am beginning to suspect my router is the problem. It is a DLink 4300.
I have a spare RT314 to try, even though it does not have SPI.
Thank you for any suggestions.
Best,
Duncan
