If that doesn't work disconnect all your hardware from the modem and turn it off. Take one computer, plug it into the modem, turn the modem on, if necessary set up the adaptor with the numbers your ISP gives you and see if you have a connection. Still no connection? Try the same thing on a second computer... Still no connection..Call your ISP

If you do connect... then set your adaptor back to DHCP and reintroduce the router between that PC and the router. Get that working, and start introduce one device at a time.. ie switches, print servers, servers, etc.
