I bought my first LCD about 5 months ago. Longtime CRT fan and resisted going to LCDs because I was very sensitive to motion blur and smearing.
I bought a Samsung SyncMaster 2493HM and absolutely love it. The size is perfect for both work (can do two pages in word or a PDF at once) and gaming. Good but not great colors, good video, never noticed any smearing or blur problems.
