Greg,
Thanks. I do accept that nothing is perfect. We do search for those
products that have the least number of troubles. Yes, I do also understand
RMA glitches also. Been there done that! LOL!
In my reads, I have noticed an increasing failure rate at output wattages
have moved >500W. Perhaps just my read also. And, there is much about these
psus that I just do not fully comprehend. Yet!
I would love to try Seasonic, but I just can not find vendors (that I know
about/trust) that have stock on hand. Shucks.
Yes, I suppose I am a PCP&C fan-boy; but, only because I do have many years
of experience with this brand. The recent sell to OCZ Technologies does
give me pause; but, I am still willing to use the product. OCZ is another
good brand also, I think. Except for memory, I do Crucial or Mushkin.
Perhaps I am just dumbly brand-switching; not aware that the product really
comes from a bigger warehouse! Oh, well...............LOL!
Thanks,
Duncan

They do fail, though. My brother's PCP&C Silencer 750 died within 3 weeks of
purchase. It happens, no biggie. The fact that it came back scratched to
hell, though...that's pretty awful.
My preference is SeaSonic-branded units, but PCP&C is still solid in my
book...as well as those Corsair units made by SeaSonic (HX series 520 and
620 watt capacities only)
