You don't know our user base. Trust me, it'd be a problem, even if the defaults were proper. Not to mention applications and updates that don't bother checking for proper locations in the first place... Why would I want to back up Windows? It's just a means to an end--it's everything else that I care about. Not to mention that with 150+ desktops, DVDs aren't really an option. In fact, we don't back up user machines at all. We provide workstations with mirrored drives to improve availability, but users are responsible for checking in important data centrally.
