That's...how Windows is supposed to work. If you explicitly authenticate to network resources, that persists only through your current logon session. There is an .\Administrator account (.\ meaning local machine context), but you can't get to it via the Users CP applet. You need to open Computer Management, then Local Users and Groups, then Users. Vista disables the administrator account by default, but you can re-enable it and set a password here. It may show up in the Users CP applet after it's enabled. Don't know--I always use the other interface. Greg
