I have (had) those. They are still sitting in the corner. I hate to can them as they cost $500 back in the day. The control box on mine never really worked well. I now have a pair of Logitechs which cost half what the Klpsch's cost...and while I think the Promedia sound a little better, these Logitech units sound Great on BD disc using PowerDVD 9.0! So, did I make the right choice in upgrading? Yes, I did (given the better price and more consistent operation). The control unit for the logitech's works great!
Good luck.

Hey guys, thoughts on this computer speaker set? I.e. are they good, what
(if anything) is better-seems weird to ask, but I don't know that computer
speaker tech has advanced that much in the 5 or so years I've had them.

Some of you may even have this set; it was rated the best for a while (well
back in 2004 or so when I got my last PC), though there's apparently a dark
side to them, (what with all the subwoofer problems) which I ran into
recently too (well a few years back now I guess).

So I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to get a replacement sub since
there's apparently a good chance it too will have problems (and it's not
that cheap and it's not like they're taking care of owners that had
problems) or if I should get something else. It's just annoying b/c
everything plugs into the sub and is kind of useless (the 5 other speakers
and head unit) unless someone knows of a company that makes a replacement
sub that's compatible with the Klipsch ones.I didn't find anything when I
google for that tho.

Thoughts?
