My only experience with Sapphire is with a x1900XT. I had one card that had a terrible high-pitched "whine" (not fan noise). I RMAed it after several months only to find the replacement had the whine too, so I just ignored it. Then that card died about a year later. Switched to an 8800GT and haven't had any problems (knock on wood).
