don't they at first give like 3 days b4 activation ?

when I installed 8 and realized it had overwritten 7 Ultimate
I pulled the NIC cable...so it was live to the net for at most 15 minutes
Once I realized that I would have to give up a Win 7 license key I
went and installed Win 7 Pro into the free space I had save for win
8 and then activated it . then I installed win 8 and had no problem
with the activation. My guess is that they give you some time before
they lock up the activation for good... just in case your install goes bad.
