The SFP port would be used with a module that plugs in.  Often used for
Fiber Transceivers, you'll likely not use the port.

Correct, you'll only have 3 other ports once X0 is setup as the WAN port.

Once you configure the EdgeMax you'll just swap over the cables.  I'd make
sure the internal network is setup the same as on the Trend Net.
