Exactly. Holding any manufacturer to a zero-failure standard (or taking one failure as evidence for a decline) is...extraordinarily impractical.
I use primarily Corsair memory personally. I've had some fail (stuff rated for and ran above JEDEC speeds and voltages), but I expect all hardware to fail at some point.
