Exactly. Holding any manufacturer to a zero-failure standard (or taking one
failure as evidence for a decline) is...extraordinarily impractical.

I use primarily Corsair memory personally. I've had some fail (stuff rated
for and ran above JEDEC speeds and voltages), but I expect all hardware to
fail at some point. The lesson I learned, after seeing similar failures in
other brands, is that Micron D9 DDR2 ICs can't tolerate increased voltage
long term.
