Oh, I certainly don't really care either, but I felt Stan's insinuation that it was old news warranted further clarification/correction. Official release of a service pack is a big deal, even it had been leaked previously.
That said, I typically wait until it's on Technet to apply big ticket items like a SP to my non-bench boxes. Mission critical, no, but I don't have the time or patience anymore to rebuild them if it goes sour or MS pulls a late surprise. Frankly, I care more about stability on my home system than I do my work box. :) > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:hardware- > [email protected]] On Behalf Of Bryan Seitz > Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 11:50 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [H] SP1 for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 > > lol unless it's for a business or production environment who cares if people > messed around with leaks/betas/whatever.
