I have very little experience...but I have a laptop whose default screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 (1080p). It works fine on my LG 42-inch 1080p TV, both as a computer and as playing movies. AT the distance I sit from it, that resolution looks fine.

Also, my google TV (talk about dud) works on my 67-inch screen in a similar way. It's actually hard to read this at the my typical viewing distance.

I urge caution if you need to run higher than about 720 lines in the vertical direction.

How close will the monitor be to your eyes? Could be a little pixelated and fuzzy if you're too close to it. Disclaimer: I have no personal experience with a 720P TV being used for a monitor.

Need to replace a monitor and found a deal on a LG LG 32LD350 (720p TV). I
have a GTX460 card.
Any reason not to use this TV for a monitor??
