That's what I was thinking, the 2 x 2GB for $48. Guess I'm paying for old
technology now. Probably my last upgrade to this box.
I am running a lot of audio programs and there are still some bugs with the
64-bit versions especially regarding compatibility with DAWs, interfaces and
plug-ins. As time passes these compatibility issues are being resolved
through updates. If I can hang on another year or so before going to
64-bit, I hope to avoid the numerous crashes and lock-ups that others are
experiencing.

The issue is on DDR-3 you can get four times the ram for less $.
I personally given the prices you listed, would go with the 4GB upgrade,
and "remove" and store my 2x1GB sticks for when the box eventually get's
a 64bit OS.
