Interesting, as that's completely the opposite of my experience. I owned a number of 680i boards and trashed them all (overheating when overclocked, shoddy NICs, or general instability). A Gigabyte P35 board went in my main system as a replacement, and was easily the most stable and long-lasting platform I've ran since the venerable 440BX.
