I just got my x220t recently. It is the best laptop I have ever owned,
hands down. (gosh, I own 4 functioning laptops at the moment, not
counting my old Samsung N1 - Windows Tablet) Frankly, I am starting to
have a change of heart about laptops after getting this bad boy. I'd
never been able to warm up to laptops, too much of a comprise. But this
thing is powerful, the screen is great, and the keyboard is wonderful,
good battery life, and less than 4 lbs.
In fairness, ordering from Lenovo was a total nightmare. I was this
close to canceling my order and going after a MacBook Air! Forunately,
some Lenovo rep (in india, I think) refused to let me cancel (actually,
he asked me to delay it for a week) and he put the rush my order and it
got it within a week. Now, I'm happy with the outcome.
Of course, this Lenovo is not cheap. I would not buy a $1700 laptop
with my own funds. No way, Jose!

Hi,
I personally really like the thinkpads quality wise, I have a work
issued (IBM) Lenovo W520, and it's really really nice.
If your interested in Lenovo, either refurb/lease returns or new, send
me a direct email, I have employee discounts that can be used by friends
and family.

I am in the market for a laptop, something in the 15" range. Laptop will
be used for general purpose stuff around the house, some gaming and
photo/video in a pinch. Not looking for an ultra portable or anything
like that, would like decent battery life and hopefully be ~5-6 pounds, i5
processor (2nd gen). Been looking at Dell, Asus, HP, Lenovo and Acer.
Too many choices! Any recommendations? Specific model or just a brand
or two I should focus my efforts upon.
Oh,
