Just wanted to say, I just recently bought a Yamaha (RX-V871) and while Audyssey is a lot more popular, I did not find any negative reviews of YPAO. Most reviews I found said there was very little difference between the two. I have to say that I just love my new Yamaha, I got a great price on it and it has all the features one could ever want. The best part is the streaming audio stuff, I really like being able to listen to Pandora with a click on the remote. I bought my Yamaha for less than $500 and it has every feature you (at least I) can think of. It has 100 WPC, and if that is not enough it also has pre-outs so you can use external amplifiers. I am driving a set of Paradigm studio reference 100 towers, along with matching surrounds and center channel. It easily drives them to reference volumes and beyond. I am very satisfied with my choice.
Oh, and on the original post. I think I would buy a new receiver rather then getting an older model that is used. You can get a lot of receiver for the money and will get newer and better technology. :-) -- Gary http://www.twigsandtracks.com Twigs snap and tracks fade, a photograph reacquaints Twigs and Tracks Blog: Painted Falls<http://blog.twigsandtracks.com/2011/06/25/painted-falls/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=painted-falls> On Thu, Dec 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM, Greg Sevart <[email protected]> wrote: > I just did a bunch of research on this myself, and ended up going for the > Denon AVR-2112ci.
