Unless it's an X25-E, I'm guessing the drive is actually 80GB. Even if you don't need the additional capacity, 64GB drives don't populate all of a modern controller's channels, meaning that they perform worse than their larger brothers. Larger drives are also better for endurance, as they have more NAND to wear level across.
