Thanks, June, for clarifying this point.

As I said, I would be more than happy to receive any donation of old
children's books. I would add them to our growing collection set off
thanks to the Zipperstein Collection donated to Arizona State University
couple of years ago. We have children's books in this collection dated
from the early 20th century to the 1970s, and I hope that some day it
will become invaluable as a historical collection. Some of the items are
on exhibit right now at the library - to see a short video about it go
to www.asu.edu/lib (under NEWS, click "exhibit highlights...").

In Israel, Children's literature is studies in Merkaz Yemimah (named
after celebrated children's author Yemimah Tchenovitz-Avidar) in Beit Berl
College. The private collection and archives of the late children's
literature scholar Uriel Offek (compiler of Offek Lexicon to Hebrew
Children's Literature) are kept there, with hundreds of rare gems.
