AJL contracts with the hotel several years ahead of the Convention.
The price we negotiated includes the resort and housekeeping fee. We
have promised to use a certain number of rooms in exchange for not
paying extra for meeting space. If people book under a different
organization, their reservation does not usually count toward the
rooms we have agreed to fill.

The AARP rate lists just the room rate. The Resort fee and the
Housekeeping grtuity will be added on to the bill at checkout. We
felt it would be better to have everything in our price so peole were
not surprised at checkout with additional fees.

That being said, because of the confusion at the hotel in their
quoted rates, they will credit us with every room booked by an
attendee of the AJL Convention. We will give them a list of our
registrants and they will credit them to the required room count.
People will be charged whatever the rate was that they were quoted
when they booked their room.

I hope this clears up the reservation questions.

Please join us for an outstanding Convention and a chance to meet old
and new friends and enjoy the desert air!

Looking forward to greeting everyone in Scottsdale. Have a good Pesach!

AJL Vice President/President-Elect
