UNDERSTANDING THE AFTERLIFE IN THIS LIFE

How Bibliotherapy Can Help Overcome The Fear Of Death

When Dr. Bernie Kastner lost his 19 year old son to a devastating illness,
he found himself in closer contact with death than he had ever imagined. In
an effort to deal with this tragedy, Kastner and his wife began avidly
reading everything available on the subject of death and dying. This process
of Bibliotherapy helped them cope with their loss.

Kastner soon realized that individual attitudes towards death played a major
role in how people dealt with loss. What most people lacked was the
resources to understand what awaited them "beyond the veil". His book,
Understanding the Afterlife in This Life (Devora Publishing; May, 2007),
reveals the ideas and images of the afterlife as we know them. He brings
together a variety of sources from the Kabbalah to the Talmud; fascinating
stories and testimonies of near-death experiences; and anecdotal material
designed to give the reader the courage to taste what awaits us next.

In this compendium of knowledge from science, the scriptures and from human
experience, Kastner offers a repository of invaluable information to the
reader, young or old -- who does not have the time or desire to conduct a
massive search for material relating to end of life issues.
