I just received my copy of Library Journal and there is a two page spread called "Six New Book on the Struggle: Israel-Palestine" by Elizabeth Hayford, who reviews on this subject for the magazine. I have not read the books and wonder if any of them are worth buying. The books she considers "solid works" and "valuable additions" include:
1. Understanding the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict: A Primer by Phyllis Bennis 2. The Lost Years: Radical Islam, Intifada and the Wars in the Middle East 2001-2006 by Charles Enderlin 3. Notes on the Occupation: Palestinian Lives by Eric Hazan 4. Intifada: Palestine and IsraelĀthe Long Day of Rage by David Pratt 5. Hamas: A History from Within by Azzam Tamimi 6. Victory for Us Is to See You Suffer: In the West Bank with the Palestinians and the Israelis by Philip Winslow This is all on pages 78-79 of the Oct 15 issue of Library Journal.
