Safranim --

Today I picked up a copy of the just-published history of Temple
Israel of Boston. This volume, which has been in the works since
before our convention there in 2006, was co-written by the
synagogue's Archivist, Meaghan Dwyer, who spoke at the conference.

Since I've just started reading it, I can't do a review, but I did
want to make it aware to everyone, and to praise the synagogue and
Meaghan. Also, Congratulations to Ann Abrams, the synagogue Librarian.

 >From the first few pages, it looks like a fine example of history
on several levels: synague story, local history, and broader overview
of American Jewish history. I should also n ote that it has images
(photos, documents, etc) on almost every page-spread.
