Within the last year I've catalogued about 4500 books and used LibraryWorld to automate our collection. By far the most useful resource has been the online catalog of Sinai Temple, which I accessed through the AJL website. Since that library has such a broad and deep collection, about 85% of the books that passed through my hands are in their catalog, so I could harvest their call numbers if they seemed suitable to me. As a trained librarian, I can't say I agreed with all of them, and there's wiggle room on lots of subjects, but the Sinai catalog made my life so much easier. And incidentally, I don't know how we're going to be able to fork over $425 each year for LibraryWorld. Hmm. We shall see...
