I just bought a copy of Cut Me Loose by Leah Vincent for our library. After I bought it, one of the teachers read it and complained that it teaches kids bad lessons. She told me that I should not have it in the library. I'm not one to censor, but I am one to question whether I should promote a title or leave it, inconspicuously, on the shelf for someone to discover. Are there any school librarians out there who have encountered similar issues with this book? How have you handled them? Thank you!
