Is your school Orthodox or UltraOrthodox? Have you read the book? If the answer to the first is no and the answer to the second is yes then I believe that this is one person's opinion about the book. There are several reviews on Amazon (one very astute one in particular) that lays out what the book is about and discusses the meaning of its contents. It seems to be a raw account of what happened to the author 15 years ago. For a certain part of the population it sounds like it would be dangerous but for others enlightening. It is your call but I think promoting the book might cause controversy (because the teacher might make a stink to others) whereas putting it on the shelf for someone to find might be a better solution. It just depends on the make up of your school population. The reviewer seems to feel that the girl never got any proper lessons on behavior so that this is a cautionary tale. All of this said I have removed purchases from my shelves because of negative comments that could have caused upset. I worked in an elementary school where there was more parental screening than there possibly would be in an upper school. But then I am a coward and try to avoid conflict if possible. All of this said I have not read the book.
