This work examines the psychology of the individual German, the social
character of the Teutonic tribes, and the historical Zeitgeist as a basis
for that Nazi *furor teutonicus*. It analyzes the victimization ethos of
Judaism, the ethos of non-violence in Jewish religion and morals, and the
submissive attitude of the Jewish social character during the 2nd World
War. This relationship between the German and Jewish social characters
seems primarily responsible for the worst human catastrophe in world
history. Prof Shoham’s analysis of this traumatic event enables us to
firmly place the memory of it within the flow of history, shapes our
current perception of it, and should help us avert similar events in the
future.
