No idea re. Kafih in English (I'd wager no). If not, can use phone camera and
google to translate page by page (not ideal, but it works). Saphir has been
translated into English (maybe not complete?). Some of the older travelogues
have been translated into English, I don't know how much about Yemen
specifically in those (the patron might have to check under city names, Sheba,
Southern Arabia, etc. rather than Yemen). Only in Hebrew, but J.D. Eisenstein's
anthology אוצר המסעות might have selections on Yemen.

Hi Ari,

Thank you so much for responding. Do you know if Joseph Kafih's book was ever
translated into English? The only copy I was able to find is in Hebrew. I love
the idea of travelogues, too. I look forward to exploring. I appreciate all the
help from Hasafran!

All best,
Barbara

Saphir's אבן ספיר.

Thanks so much for any assistance you can offer.
