Merrily, Susan, Shoshanah I want to applaud your reflections on the powerful Jewish women (and men) who were also my heroes and guides when I joined AJL in the 80's. What a group of dedicated, loving, elegant, intelligent, and giving people, whose devotion to Judaism and to Jewish learning was instrumental in guiding my evolution as a Judaica librarian, and who motivated me to get involved with the national organization. I feel like everyone is gone too soon, yet much time has passed since those days.
May Jean's memory, and all of theirs, be for a blessing.
