I want to add another topic to this discussion. It seems that many people agree that we should ship something based on top of `http-client` / `http-client-tls`. The next question is whether or not to re-export those APIs or to abstract over them in case we ever want to change the underlying implementation or improve upon it.
I have no strong preferences either way.
