One of my current coworkers actually failed a test where she was supposed to *build an aircraft from paper* with a bunch of other candidates. She wasn't found "cooperative" enough or something. The company didn't want that kind of programmer. She claims to have previously passed the same idiotic set of tests for some other purpose.
According to my crude estimations, at least about 75% of the people getting payed for crafting tests used for various selection processes in modern society should be taken out and shot. As to the morons paying them for the tests rejecting random people and accepting other random people (or, worse, accepting the worst possible candidates) - those morons don't require any special attention. Uncle Darwin will collect their bodies himself.
