You have a point. That's what happens when one gets too humane. You start with a
harmlessly looking amendement (I only said "at least 75%", could be 100% for all
I know), and the next thing you see is a self-referential bullet shot through
your face.
Forget it. Just shoot the whole lot.
Seriously, even IQ-like tests, which are a couple orders of magnitude less
moronic than your typical special-purpose aptitude test, are effectively
microbenchmarks for the brain. I wouldn't insult a computer by estimating it's
abilities using the total execution time of hundreds of tiny jobs.
Want to hire a programmer? Ask the candidates to write a fucking *program*, and
see what happens. Sounds better than having them make a paper plane to me.
