A version of the "butwaittheresmore" patch for branch 0.4. This roles in the
fix for HCATALOG-356 (since that was needed now that HCat 0.4 is using Hive
0.9) and makes changes to the tests to get rid of the MiniCluster stuff since
that doesn't seem to be working now.
