HCPers,

In looking carefully at the Restricted Family and Demographics Data, there are
some potential discrepancies I'd like to better understand.

In the restricted CSV data sheet, there are many subjects labeled as Twin-MZ or
Twin-Non MZ with no twin counterpart in the dataset. For MZ twins , there seem
to be 31 cases where the Mother ID is included (and who also have unique Father
IDs), but do not seem to have another Twin-MZ with the same mother ID. For DZ
twins, there are similarly 45 cases of missing counterparts. There are also two
sets of DZ twins for which there is a third child of the same mother also
labeled as Twin-Non MZ, but with a different or unknown Father ID.

Can you help me understand these issues in the Restricted Family and
Demographics Data, and how best to address or resolve them? I assume that there
are a few cases in which the data for the left out twin is simply yet to be
released, and a few cases in which the left out twin chose not to participate,
but there seem to be more unpaired twins than I would have expected.

Thank you for the help. I didn't notice any discussion of this issue in the
available documentation, but I apologize if I missed it.

Best,
Mike
