Thanks for the discussions folks.
I'm OK with both git rebase and git merge workflows. So let's wait for a
consensus from common-dev@ and decide which branch to base on. There should be
a conclusion within 2~3 days anyway.
Since the {{HEAD}} of the 2 branches are similar, it shouldn't affect reviewing
the patch (as well as other pending patches such as HDFS-8833).
