[~cmccabe] You are absolutely right. I concur that we will need range
partitioning to do this effectively or we will need to support secondary
indices. AFAIK, based on all the community feedback (including yours) I think
we are currently favoring range partitioning. I am not working on that part
explicitly, but I will let someone like [~cnauroth] or [~jnp] comment on it
authoritatively.
