[~chris.douglas] Instead of ignoring such storage types shall we assign them a 
default storage type. 
In a scenario where end user mis-spelled storage type, first case(i.e ignoring 
them) will result in disks being not used for storage. However if we assign all 
unknown storage type to some default type and log an error message, end user 
can always go back and correct it.
