Hi Shoshanna,
I think I understood what you meant. I'll try to be more precise.
For example, I noticed a blank entry after the "FrankRuehl" item.
To display this entry I'm doing the following:
1. Open the "Font Replacement" dialog box.
2. From the left combobox ("Font") choose the item that follows
"FrankRuehl" - "FrankRuehl Backslanted" (here it's properly
displayed).
3. From the right combobox ("Replace with") select "Courier".
4. Press "Apply" button.
5. Check "Always" box ("Display" doesn't seem to work).
6. Press OK.
Now you'll see the previously lucking font name displayed in the
"Font Name" combobox.

I guess I wasn't clear enough. Take a look at the bug I just reported:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=9833
If there is a way of having the main font menu show the font names in
the application font, then we have a workaround to this rather ugly bug.
I went through the options (which IMO should be simplified greatly.
They are worse then MS Office's option), but didn't see anything
relevant.
