This sounds like a reasonable thing to expect of a configuration management tool. But I'm very skeptical that it's realistic, or desirable. There are so many relationships and interdependencies and complexities involved in CM; it just isn't like database management. The way to undo a set of actions has to involve thinking about what needs to be done, and to enter new configurations. I don't think there is, or will be, pushbutton rollback capability in any tool (please let me know if I'm wrong).
